This Northern Ireland BBC crime drama directed by Allan Cubitt has had an understated run so far as it’s already into its second season, but we are touting that due to the sudden and catapulting success of lead Jamie Dornan (Christian Grey in Fifty Shades), this police-centred murder investigation show, where Dornan plays the serial killer suspect, will start gaining some traction with viewers around the world very soon.
The show which has had a small-scale but very positive critical reception also stars the stunning Gillian Anderson and has a general rating on iMDB of 8.2 stars out of 10. The show examines the lives of two hunters, one a sociopathic serial killer (Dornan) who stalks his victims around Belfast, and the other a highly successful Police Superintendent (Anderson) trying to track him down. The scenery is beautiful, the acting realistic and raw and the plot somewhat unconventional – straying away from the basic whodunit formula of various other successful crime-fic dramas on TV.
