“The Most Beautiful Girl In The World’s” Evolution

The young girl who’s name was spread around the world and labelled as “The Most Beautiful Girl In The World” is making her way back into the Fashion World and social media alike, and is now all grown up. Her beauty definitely has not faded and the now 14-year-old model is shaping up to be as influential as her baby self was in high fashion. Here we are celebrating the evolution of a model that we believe will one day obtain supermodel status…Thylane Blondeau.

The young French model is daughter of footballer Patrick Blondeau and fashion designer Veronika Blondeau. She is one in a million in relation to her fashion success and of course that comes with controversy because of her age. But none of that deterred her talent and she has kept walking in shows and gracing covers after she walked her first show at just 4-years-old with prestigious Jean Paul Gaultier. With such striking features and grace at such a young age it’s no wonder that she walked so young.

The controversy stemmed from the idea that Thylane was dressing much older than appropriate for her age and working jobs that seemed unsuitably, older than her. The art that was captured from the then 11 year old is what made the editorials so beautiful and stand out (especially because she looked incredible!). They say that all publicity is good publicity, so it’s clear that the negative came with positive and Thylane gained admiring fans young and old across the globe, being shared by the hundreds of thousands with captions often stating, “The Most Beautiful Girl In The World”.

Her home of France supported Thylane and her global publicity, and would turn the negativity in the media into stories about the ‘Hysterical Americans’ and their extravagant stories, and would focus more on the articles and buzz that suggested she was a mini Kate Moss and young model icon. This kept her focus on modeling apparent, and from there her she signed with IMG models and focused on creative projects.

During 2014 (4 years after her vogue debut) Thylane landed her ‘first grown up’ cover on the prestigious Jalouse Magazine, sharing the title with other A-List celebrities and models; Cara Delavigne, Miranda Kerr and Rihanna to name a few. This achievement clearly spread her name through the industry again, and proved that the young, controversial model was one to not forget.
