Mulberry introduces its collaboration with Georgia May Jagger, revealing delightful new looks…
Back in late January this year, Georgia May Jagger was announced as the new face of Mulberry. The 23 year old first worked for the fashion house in their Spring/Summer 2015 campaign, showing off their loose clothing and dazzling array of handbags. Now, Mulberry is taking her partnership further through giving her a hand at designing their clothes.
The British model, who is also the face of Mulberry’s Fall 2015 campaign, has designed her own collection for Mulberry. The ‘London Cool’ leather jacket is the leading product in this capsule collection, and is available with different gem-like linings: emerald green, ruby magenta or sapphire blue. This statement jacket has “a long-line body, roomy arms, and jewel-toned linings,” as Fashionista.com announces.
“It’s so important to have a leather jacket that fits well and is comfortable,” Jagger said. “I personally wanted a longer-line style that came to the hips, as it flatters the figure, and the arms need to be cut just at the right width so you can layer a jumper underneath and still move your arms.”
In addition to the promise of being a perfect fit, the biker jacket will also come with optional customisation, with either an illustration of a bee, fox or owl, or the buyer’s own initials. Jagger’s collection also includes a small leather pouch on a biker chain, as well as six different silk scarves to choose from. This entire range is now available on the Mulberry website.
With her growing contribution at Mulberry, Jagger’s fashion career is on the rise. She is also working with Alexander Wang in his DoSomething campaign to support social change among young people. It’s safe to say that Jagger is set to leave a mark on the fashion industry.
