Thor actor Chris Hemsworth is adorable in his recent photo shoot and interview with Vanity Fair. Photographed by notable photographer Bruce Weber, the feature combines the Australian actor’s natural good looks and positive personality with an insight into the realities of Hollywood. The feature, entitled “The Man Who Dreams Only of Surfing,” reflects Hemsworth’s childhood of surfing at Phillip Island, in Victoria, Australia, with his father and brothers.
Hemsworth wears a variety of clothing throughout the photographs, ranging from a singlet or light, white button up shirt typical of a beach lifestyle, to a heavier leather jacket and collared winter coat mirroring the fluctuating weather of Victoria. His expression changes from brooding, to a cheesy grin, both equally gorgeous.
In the Vanity Fair interview Hemsworth talks about his need to keep a distance from Hollywood, and the actor recently returned to Australia to live in Byron Bay with his family. The photos emulate his preference for the laid back, seaside town, over the intensity of L.A., saying “You just kind of lose touch with reality a bit here. You drive down the street and you’re constantly reminded of everything you’re either involved in or not involved in. It’s exhausting.”
Hemsworth certainly appears in his element in the relaxed, beachy photo shoot, and that is why he looks so amazing. Definitely the right move for the Aussie actor.
