Photography is a rapidly evolving medium and the digital age has greatly expanded its realm of possibilities. While Europe and the USA still remain at the centre of the most exclusive photography circles, changes in the industry have brought Australians to the forefront of global photography and allowed talented Aussie photographers to shine both at home and abroad.

The launch kicked off in Surry Hills, where the M2 Gallery looks out over the heart of the city. The event was fun all around, with photographers, invitees and passers-by stopping in to enjoy the warm night.

“Hey, I’m really impressed with the reproduction of my photos in the book. The hung artworks look fantastic; I have to congratulate FIB on that. And it’s kind of good to not have to go to a photography exhibition at a studio for a change – it’s good to be able to get away from where one works… [Those exhibitions] are like having someone’s birthday party at their office.” – Nicholas Samartis

All the prints from the night and the book are currently for sale through our website.
