BONDS Introduces Swimwear Featuring Miranda Kerr

Aussie favourite BONDS has finally launched a swimwear line. The collection features the brands iconic bold patterns and of course is available for the whole family, and having supermodel Miranda Kerr as the face for the new range doesn’t hurt either.

For the Aussie brand swimwear seems to be the next natural progression, having had a very successful activewear line after only producing undergarments for the majority of the brands life. While some may think that swimwear is just another facet of activewear, most activewear brands do not have a swimwear range, and since BONDS humble beginnings come from the underwear side of things they are better suited than most to launch a swimwear range.

Sticking to its family image, BONDS have produced not just swimwear for one member of the family but the whole lot. The range includes children’s sizes from 000 to 7 and includes womens swimsuits and mens bathers and boardies, in two-way stretching lycra and UPF 50+ protection. BONDS highlights that this new range is for everybody and every body, producing sizes from XS to XL in adult sizings.

The swimwear range boast very bright colourful prints that Senior Designer Anna Banno says are

“Prints are part of the Bonds signature. We do a lot of work to make sure our prints are dynamic and energetic but also appeal to a wide audience. There is definitely a boldness to our prints, in a sense they have their own character. Each print has been designed to tie in beautifully with our colour palette, which is both punchy and saturated, as well as pared back and neutral. We spend time working prints into the stories we want to tell. In this instance, with our bright modern florals and playful motifs, we wanted to echo the intensity of high summer in Australia.”

 

BONDS also made the economically and publicly approved choice of model to front the new swimwear collection: Miranda Kerr. Kerr’s reputation as a supermodel and the many bikini/lingerie shoots were a clear indicator that she would make the ideal ambassador. Being an Aussie and previously a BOND girl before Kerr shined like the diamond she is in the brand’s first swimwear campaign.
