Last week high end street wear brand Hood By Air announced in a press release that the brand is going on “hiatus, effective immediately”; with even the website being closed and not selling anything…
Hood By Air’s hiatus comes as co-founders Shayne Oliver and Leilah Weinraub take time out to focus on their individual projects. The news hardly comes as a shock after the brand pulled out of 2017 Paris Fashion Week cancelling their show at last minute. This combined with their “most exhaustive” sample sale to date which has been likened to that of a clearance sale.
In the same press release the brand reassured customers that while while the brand is on hiatus for now it will “continue to fulfill its creative vision in the near future”.
Hood By Air is beloved by many celebrities including Rihanna, Jaden Smith and Naomi Campbell.
…Well, at least in the meantime, there is always Yeezy to fall back on for all your high end street fashion needs.
