The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) had their annual June Fashion Awards and it kicked off with some killer looks this year. Bella Hadid went pink, Alek Wek went bold and Hailey Baldwin went… furry?
Feminine Suits
Josephine Skriver, Adriana Lima and Linda Fargo are some of many who rocked a feminine suit look at this event. Stylish pants and an elegant blazer proved simple yet turned heads for these ladies, especially Josephine who paired a stylish, dazzling, striped suit with a laced, bralette type crop to show off her figure. Adriana Lima, however, took a different angle. She went for an off-white, soft styled full body suit that was a bit long in length while Linda Fargo dove straight into the bright red and gold closed suit to make a statement.
Bright Colours
Bella Hadid went real colourful this year with a bright hot pink statement piece by Virgil Abloh from his line, Off-White. Alek Wek also made a statement with her Balenciaga signature Knife over-the-knee spandex boots in neon green to match her black Balenciaga sweetheart neckline dress. Amber Valletta also turned heads in a bright Oscar de la Renta red strapless dress with matching sandals and a simple down-do.
The High Pony
The high pony was high on the ranks at the awards this year with Delilah Belle Hamlin wearing custom David Meister with a slick high pony, to sum up the look. But it was Hailey Baldwin that really caught eyes with her unique use of fur at this year’s awards. She wore Brother Vellies shoes and bag to match with her sophisticated Cushnie et Och dress and completed the look with a gently curled, high pony.
Overall, the CFDA’s went off with a bang!
