Last Dinosaurs are back, baby. It has been a long time since the sorely-missed Brisbane quartet have graced our ears, but they have made a triumphant return with new single Dominos and accompanying music video.
The video features another Brisbane legend, comedian Aaron Gocs starring as a Last Dinosaurs superfan that moonlights as a demon who is hell-bent on stealing the band member’s souls.
Last Dinosaurs released their sophomore record Wellness back in 2015 and announced their third album in October 2013, but have remained largely anonymous since then. Frontman Sean Caskey said:
We’ve been on a long journey since releasing our last album, and ‘Dominos’ is just one segment of a huge venn diagram that covers the ups and downs of personal experiences
Time out of the spotlight has clearly given the band a chance to hone their already-polished sound. Whether this track is indicative of a more mature sound to be expected from their third album or just something to keep us going, I’m thankful to have Last Dinosaurs gracing my ears and my newsfeed once again.
Hopefully this new release sets off a domino effect! Have a watch and a listen below.
