SYS Sounds: A Night of Hip Hop x Dumplings
The Australian music blog Stimulate Your Soul (YSY) is celebrating seven years, so they’re throwing a party at Darlinghurst’s Monkey Magic Dumplings. Hip Hop and R ‘n’ B music will dominate the scene with seven DJ’s from all over Australia and Belgium. This event wouldn’t feel complete if SYS’s second love was not present, so prepare yourself for some “Hella” good dumplings!
The event will start at 9 pm this Thursday and everyone should be there. Event details here.
Sydney’s secret cocktail bar adventure
Are you guys ready to adventure into Sydney’s underworld? Hidden bars behind fridge doors and barber shops as façades to stylish 1920’s speakeasies… enroll yourselves in an adventure with Urban Hunts and take your family or group of friends on an adventure to explore the coolest bars in Sydney.
The cocktail bar scavenger experience is available every day until Monday 9th April and it looks incredibly fun!
Crabs Carnival
The Morrison is bringing back The Crab Carnival! If you are one of those crustacean lovers, this is most definitely the event of the year for you. There will be crab cocktails, crab races, a delicious crab menu and everything else crustaceous.
Put on your baby bibs, prepare your hammer and crackers for the whole month, because the crab festival goes until 15th April.
Luna Park Rooftop Cinema
This Autumn, Luna Park will be screening this year’s biggest films in open air. If you enjoy watching movies surrounded by funfair lights and the beauty of Sydney Harbour you should definitely take advantage of this (film)tastic opportunity. The movie screening started with Baby Driver but the next titles coming out are equally good. Next Tuesday they will screen My Neighbor Totoro from the acclaimed Japanese director Miyazaki, this being the thirtieth anniversary of its release. A fab midweek activity for all families and friends.
Films are screening from 22nd March – 22nd April. For the full program click here.
Good Saturday Festival
If you live in the inner-west or happen to be around the area, this weekend there’s a great festival happening. Indie Rock bands from all over the country will play tunes for everyone to enjoy. You am I, Augie March, Jen Cloher and Something for Kate will be the Headliners of the festival; but it’s not all about the music, it’s also about the beer, thus the reason why some of the best local brewers and foodies will feature. Check the list of bands here.
Local beer and awesome Ozzie music this weekend? Sounds like a really ‘Good’ Saturday.
