Beachy rock band ‘Skegss’ are crawling out of quarantine and they’re ready to rock. Fresh of the heals of their new single ‘Under The Thunder’, the band is ready for their next world tour. The only problem: there’s not much of the world to see right now.
Instead, the indie-rock band are compromising their dreams of total world domination by hosting their ‘world tour’ in the town adjacent to their old stomping grounds. Hailing from idyllic Byron Bay, Skegss will be occupying the iconic Brunswick Heads picture show for four nights, and four nights only.
If you’re worried that the event will be a cesspool of long-haired, grungey surfers, well- you might be right. But that doesn’t mean that this isn’t also a classy affair. Black tie dress code applies. In fact, the official tag line of the event is: No suit, no entry. Ladies, that means it’s time dust off your fanciest frock. Gentlemen, it might be time to give your hair a shampoo.
Attendants will be seated award style, at socially distanced round tables and can expect all the perks of fine dining. Think cheese platters, cocktails and duh, a magician. Limited edition merch will also be available to purchase.
Unfortunately, due to coronavirus restrictions, tickets will be limited to 50 attendee’s indoors and 50 attendee’s outdoors. But with an average winter temperate of 19 degrees in Byron, sitting outside should be a breeze.
