The music industry’s latest and greatest have shown off their flair for fashion on this year’s AMA’s red carpet.
From feathers to rhinestones, the American Music Awards set off the night celebrating the most popular musicians of 2021 with a star-studded red carpet.
The Music Industry’s It Girl
This year has been the year of Olivia Rodrigo. After her song “Driver’s License” blew up in January, Rodrigo has become a household name. On the red carpet, Olivia wore a David Koma sheer, sequinned dress with eye-catching feather trim. She paired the exotic gown with a pair of simple open-toed, silver heels. The 18-year-old was a popular name of the night, having been nominated for 7 awards and won New Artist of the Year.
Hostess with the Mostest
Cardi B, the host of the night, turned the red carpet into her own runway as she carried out several striking outfit changes. To begin the evening, the rapper wore a black Schiaparelli gown paired with a mesh veil. To top off the look, she covered her face with a golden mask that perfectly matched her long fingernails.
Throughout the night, Cardi B showed off her figure in several gowns, including a vibrant lime green Jean Paul Gaultier gown when accepting her award for Favourite Hip Hop Song.
More Winners From the Night
BTS, a Korean Pop band, made history on the night after winning the Artist of the Year award. They are the first KPOP band to ever claim the title. The 7 man band won both on stage and off stage as they rocked the red carpet wearing sleek black and grey Louis Vuitton suits.
