A timeline of Tomdaya.
We would be lying if we said we didn’t suspect this coming. Tom Holland and Zendaya’s chemistry, along with their roles in the Spider-man franchise- a series with a solid history of coupling co-stars, was clear evidence. And now, finally, after five years has passed, and speculation has built, they have now announced their official status- via some pap-shot PDA.
Since 2017, the pair have publicly denied their dating despite some very obvious signs that they were, or at the very least, were more than friends. Who are we to be bothered by a couple wanting some privacy within their very public lives? However, with the news now out, we are eager to discuss the Tom Holland and Zendaya timeline for some light-hearted entertainment.
The Timeline of Events
July 2016– Following the pair getting cast for Spider-Man, Holland posted a photo to his Instagram captioned “Summer Sundays”. Innocent enough- so we won’t speculate.
November 2016 – The co-stars posed for The Hollywood Reporter Next Gen issue. Despite the covers old Hollywood and romantic themes, this was clearly publicity-related and relevant to the subject (next generation). So again, we cannot speculate too much.
July 2017– A source revealed some insider knowledge to People Magazine.
“They started seeing each other while they were filming Spider-Man”.
“They’ve been super careful to keep it private and out of the public eye, but they’ve gone on vacations with each other and try and spend as much time as possible with one another.”

As hard as this was not to consider as fact, Zendaya quickly denied the reports via Twitter.

May 2018– Holland’s response to Zendaya’s Met Gala ensemble was almost contradictory, responding on Instagram, “All hail the queen,” he wrote. “Killing it, mate ??”.
Plot Twists
July 2019– Holland and Olivia Bolton, spotted hand in hand at London’s Hyde Park. The relationship only lasted 9 months.
August 2019– A bump in the road or distraction, however you might see it, came in 2019. Rumours about Zendaya’s Euphoria co-star, Jacob Elordi, surfaced after referring to Zendaya as “bae” during a Greece vacation together. It was later confirmed they were dating.
February 2020– Holland begins dating actress Nadia Parks, which only lasted 9 months.
September 2020– Zendaya and Jacob Elordi reportedly broke up. Jacob was seen getting dinner with his now-girlfriend, Kaia Gerber, on September 1, which just so happens to be Zendaya’s birthday.
Back On
July 2021– Zendaya and Tom were caught making out by paparazzi in Hollands’s car. This follows an L.A dinner date together the night before.
September 2021– We can finally rest with our assumptions confirmed. For Zendaya’s birthday, Holland posted “my MJ” on his Instagram.
February 2022- The duo stepped out for a glamorous date night while promoting Holland’s new film “Uncharted” in New York.
