The music industry is piping hot at the moment following the release of new singles from Drake, Beyoncé and Giveon- but we can’t forget some of the industry’s biggest names. And how could we when three powerhouse musicians – the Black Eyed Peas, Shakira and David Guetta – have recently collaborated on a single which is hitting Shazam’s top 20.
Six-time GRAMMY Award-winning American musical group, Black Eyed Peas, have released a blockbuster new single entitled “Don’t You Worry”. The track comes as a collaboration with Shakira & David Guetta, via Epic Records.
This release marks the second collaboration between the Black Eyed Peas and iconic Colombian singer-songwriter and multiple GRAMMY winner, Shakira. It follows the release of their single “Girl Like Me” in 2020, which hit 67 in the Billboard Hot 100. The single also received a gold certification from the RIAA. And amassed over half-a-billion streams, unlocking unprecedented creative chemistry in the process.
However, this single also reignites the spark between the group and David Guetta who first collaborated in 2009 on the global #1 hit “I Gotta Feeling” – “something that explains why the razor-edged synth melody in “Don’t You Worry” sounds so familiar”, says Hannah Dailey from Billboard.
In an intergalactic setting, the three rap stars of BEP, will.i.am, apl.de.ap, and Taboo, play the part of foreign aliens who arrive on Shakira’s home planet in peace. Weird right?
Actually, it’s exactly what the musicians were going for. “Don’t You Worry” features Black Eyed Peas, Shakira, and Guetta assembling their talents. The result is an international banger, meant to eclipse genre lines and borders. And their music video says just that!
Always a Hit
“Don’t You Worry” was specially previewed to fans for a 48-hour pre-global release window in Beatstar. The hit music rhythm game boasts 30M+ installs since launch in September 2021. Beatstar is a familiar face when it comes to BEP, already licensing and releasing some of their earlier singles – and being one of the group’s most loyal supporters. Beatstar is now releasing brand new songs on global release day in partnership with select artists and the “Don’t You Worry” partnership has taken things a step further for the company.
Last year the group turned up on “HIT IT” [feat. Saweetie & Lele Pons] that notably amassed more than 39.8 million Spotify streams on the single and 43 million YouTube views on the music video.

But this isn’t the last we’re hearing from the Black Eyed Peas. “Don’t You Worry” paves the way for the group’s mega-anticipated ninth full-length album.
Always a Hit
In 2020, the group revealed their international hit album ‘Translation’ after an eight-year hiatus. The album, reaching #3 on the Billboard Top Latin Albums Chart, boasts the double-platinum “RITMO (Bad Boys For Life)” [with J Balvin], gold-selling “MAMACITA,” and gold-selling “GIRL LIKE ME” [with Shakira].
It turns out, no matter how long the Black Eyed Peas disappear for, their songs will always be a hit. Variety sums up the outcome of their album release by declaring, “BEP have found a new sense of adventure.”
“LOVE to all the talented creatives involved and to our fans for your infinite support” – Black Eyed Peas in anticipation for their ninth album release.
