For their next, upcycled project Trashmangrn teams up with Goodwill, Nike and singer Billie Eilish to release a capsule collection.
Trashmangrn is a boutique fashion company that utilises handcrafting and upcycling. This means that the clothing pieces are able to transform for reuse. For their newest capsule, they collaborate with Goodwill, Nike and singer Billie Eilish. This brand new collection is dedicated to the workers of America, specifically those that keep Los Angeles clean.
The Collection
Pieces within the collection draw inspiration from vintage Nike pieces from the 80s to 2000s. Pieces include an 80s windbreaker, crewnecks and hoodies. The aesthetic is a mix of hand-dye treatments, patchwork, militia accents and RIRI Zippers.
The entire capsule collection comes in a green colourway, a colour that Trashmangrn is famous for. The collection includes a wide range of t-shirts, jackets, patchwork denim jeans, nylon pants and sweatshirts. It also has an unmistakable Billie Eilish touch. Her signature style comes through the entire collection, embodying a baggy fit.
The photos for the collection are shot in Cebu, Phillippines. According to the photographer Jayson Palacio, the collection represents the beauty in ruggedness.
The goal behind the photographs was to merge the two concepts in a country that is rich in culture and geographic texture.
