Welcome back to the weekly drop list!
This week on the drop list, we deliver the best new releases to you, including Sandy Liang’s Home Collection Kenzo x NIGO & more.
Sandy Liang’s Home Drop
On Monday, Sandy Liang unveiled its first home collection.
The 12-piece capsule includes doormats, aprons, rugs, and even underwear. The collection uses the trademark ribbon iconography; and princess-themed motifs that have made Sandy Liang the “It” brand it is today.
Nick Holiday’s “SURPLUS” Release
To celebrate Halloween, Nick Holiday’s Holiday label is organising its very first “sale” called the “SURPLUS” release. This unique opportunity allows you to get your hands on items from past and current collections for a flat rate of $10 USD. The selection includes hoodies, tees, jeans, hats, and accessories. This gives you a chance to own a piece of Holiday’s extensive archive.
According to Nick Holiday, this sale is his way of paying homage to the tradition of trick or treating on Halloween. Just like knocking on your neighbor’s door and receiving something sweet, Holiday wants to give back to everyone who supports the brand, even those who may not have had the means to purchase their products before. The $10 tee shirts, which were popular when they first started, are making a comeback with this surplus release. It’s a way for Holiday to show that their door is always open and they love giving back to their community.
This surplus release also sets the stage for their upcoming full collection called “Blissmode,” scheduled to be released on January 1st, 2024. Holiday believes that to achieve bliss, you have to release, and this surplus sale is their way of releasing and sharing their love for their supporters.
You can check out select pieces from the SURPLUS release on Holiday’s website starting at 12 p.m. PST on October 31st. It’s an exciting opportunity to grab some unique items from Holiday’s history.
KENZO X HUNTER
Drawing inspiration from NIGO’s affinity for England, the new KENZO drop sees them collaborate with UK heritage brand Hunter; to create a distinctive and street-savvy capsule collection. Building on the “East Meets West” theme introduced in KENZO’s Fall/Winter 2023 campaign, the collection embraces the Ivy League aesthetic, taking cues from 1960s duck-hunting boots.
The collection features a range of high and mid-top silhouettes crafted from a mix of rubber, suede, and leather textures.
KENZO puts its own spin on Hunter’s traditional army green and black color palette by incorporating its signature KENZO red and Boke flowers throughout the collaboration.
For men, there’s a utilitarian lace-up ankle boot priced at $660 USD. It boasts a durable recycled nylon upper with zigzag lacing, a striking red sole, black shell foxing made from FSC-certified rubber, and Boke flowering lining the outsoles. The tongue bears the “Hunter” logo, while “KENZO PARIS” adorns the back of the upper.
Women can enjoy an all-black, quilted ‘ankle-to-calf’ model priced at $595 USD, mirroring the men’s silhouette. It features a recycled nylon and leather upper.
There’s also a versatile utilitarian ankle boot available for both men and women, priced at $540 USD. It combines felt, leather, and recycled polyester for the upper. The boot comes with a cover gaiter in a combination of army green and red, as well as in black.
Completing the collection is Hunter’s iconic rubber Wellington Original Tall boot. It comes in black and army green colour ways for both men and women – and exclusively in KENZO red for women. Each boot is crafted from durable vulcanized nylon and features KENZO iconography.
You can find the KENZO x Hunter collection exclusively at KENZO’s webstore, KENZO stores worldwide, and Hunter’s webstore.
