Adelaide teenager Takudzwa Victoria Rosa Maidza, better known as the performer Tkay Maidza, has released a new track on the back of dominating the South Australian Music Awards where she took home four awards, including Best Female Artist, Best Release, Best Song, and Best Music Video.
Born in Zimbabwe, the youngster burst onto the scene as a 17 year-old with her single Brontosaurus, receiving plenty of airtime on Triple J and picking up many fans in the process with her catchy 2013 tune.
Since then she’s has blown up, a popular term in the music industry to describe growing fame, performing at massive festivals such as BIGSOUND and Splendour In The Grass. She also worked with huge producer SBTRK to make Switch Lanes, earning her a place in 2014’s Hottest 100.

Featuring some typically atmospheric hooks, and bullet-fast rhymes, the track displays her growing confidence as an artist and ability to define her own sound.
