‘Indigenous’ and ‘Luxury’ are not words you would usually hear in the same sentence, but when it comes to Canadian designer Angela de Montigny, nothing is usual. Her work celebrates her Native American heritage through contemporary fashion, encourages conversations about Aboriginal history and culture, and pioneers an industry where other Indigenous designers can make their mark. In this FIB chat, our Skype interview reveals all about Angela’s unique mission of ‘fashion reconciliation.’
