With classes covering fashion, design and contemporary art, MoMa is ensuring you’ll be an art expert when you come out of isolation.
While it may be sometime before we can physically visit the MoMA art museum, we can get a sneak peek of the museum’s extensive art collections online.
Museum of Modern Art MoMA has recently launched nine free online courses through Coursera, an online learning platform. So whether you’re a creative, seeking inspiration or looking to learn something new, from modern art, fashion to photography; these classes are designed to guide you to have a deeper appreciation of the museum’s collection.
MoMA’s classes are freely accessible through Coursera where students can complete them at their own pace, with readings and exercises that can take from 12 to 38 hours to complete. Featuring artists, designers and curators as guest speakers in the classes.
Some of the courses available include introductory classes such as What is Contemporary Art, Fashion as design, Seeing through photographs lets photographers in understand the different perspectives in a photograph, and In the Studio: Abstract Post-War Painting. While Modern Art and Ideas gives a better understanding of modern art.
And for those who choose to pay $49 will receive a certificate of completion.
