Beyoncé reveals she has been busy at work on her new album and becomes the face of the newly revamped Tiffany and Co with husband Jay Z.
In Beyoncé Knowles’ new interview with Harper’s BAZAAR, she talked in great detail about what she wanted in life with her 40th birthday approaching. Along with hopes for her 4th decade, she was excited at the prospect of a life of “fun and full of freedom”. In particular, she wanted “this next decade to be about celebration, joy, and giving and receiving love. I want to give all the love I have to the people who love me back”.
New Faces
This interview followed Beyoncé and her husband, Jay Z, being announced as the new faces of Tiffany and Co. The 200-year-old jewellery company is undergoing a revamp as they have just been acquired by LVMH (a 1987 merger of Louis Vuitton and Moët Hennessy), with Forbes even mentioning how they have gotten rid of their signature robin’s egg blue colour.
The star also spoke on the new collection from her label IVY PARK,
“This collection is a mixture of my childhood growing up in Texas and a bit of American history. I grew up going to the Houston rodeo every year. It was this amazing diverse and multicultural experience where there was something for every member of the family, including great performances, Houston-style fried Snickers, and fried turkey legs. One of my inspirations came from the overlooked history of the American Black cowboy.
Many of them were originally called cowhands, who experienced great discrimination and were often forced to work with the worst, most temperamental horses. They took their talents and formed the Soul Circuit. Through time, these Black rodeos showcased incredible performers and helped us reclaim our place in western history and culture. We were inspired by the culture and swag of the Houston rodeo. We combined classic elements with the athleticwear of IVY PARK x adidas, adding our own spin, monogrammed denim, chaps, and cowhide.”
New Music on the Way
This interview also saw the promise of new music from Beyoncé , who excitedly discussed her time in the recording studio.
“I’ve been in the studio for a year and a half… Still, there’s nothing like the amount of love, passion, and healing that I feel in the recording studio. After 31 years, it feels just as exciting as it did when I was nine years old. Yes, the music is coming!”
More news has yet to be posted surrounding Beyonce’s musical comeback. The star has previously teased new music in a sound bite shared by her Destiny’s Child band member, Michelle Williams.
