London Tech Week (LTW) is a platform that highlights how technology is revolutionising both business and society. It fosters discussions on innovation, diversity, and transformation, and brings together the tech community to drive change.

At a time where dozens of tech executives and researchers have publicly signed a statement regarding the risks of AI, it’s easy to become confused about the future of AI and its impact on greater society.

“Mitigating the risk of extinction from AI should be a global priority alongside other societal-scale risks such as pandemics and nuclear war”.

says a statement released Tuesday by the nonprofit Center for AI Safety.

This open letter was signed by more than 350 researchers and executives, including Sam Altman, who is CEO of the ChatGPT and creative behind OpenAI; as well as 38 members of Google’s DeepMind artificial intelligence unit.

OpenAI’s ChatGPT assistant was the first of its kind to be released to the public in November, sparking an arms race that saw Microsoft and Google release their own bots earlier this year.

So, London Tech Week is truly arriving at a time wherein the world is full of questions.

The Summit

The LTW summit returns to Westminster this june to take over the Queen Elizabeth II Centre; over the course of three days and seven floors.
