The newest British supermodel team to grace the spotlight of Burberry’s latest campaign is none other than Jourdan Dunn and supermodel legend Naomi Campbell. They follow the pairing of Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne, two of the UK’s most iconic models, for the “My Burberry” fragrance in September.
Both campaigns were shot by the famed Mario Testino, in similar trenchcoat luxe fashion, and both brought together iconic names in the modeling world that have not previously worked together.
“Naomi and Jourdan – two great British icons, two strong, beautiful women and the two perfect faces for our new campaign. It is, as always, a real privilege to work with them,” Burberry chief creative and CEO, Christopher Bailey, told press.
At 44, Naomi Campbell is one of the highest-paid models in the world. She started modeling at the age of 15, and now has been immortalised on over 500 magazine covers during her lengthy and famed career, with features in campaigns for Burberry, Prada, Chanel, Marc Jacobs, Valentino, Versace and Dolce & Gabbanna. This was Campbell’s first campaign shot for the coveted London based brand since her shoot with Kate Moss in 2001.
“It is always a pleasure to work with Mario Testino; we came up in the business together 28 years ago, so have an understanding and ease in working together,’ Campbell said of the esteemed photographer. ‘His photography is special and the results are always stunning. And I was thrilled to work with Jourdan Dunn for the first time – it was a lot of fun. But above all, it’s always rewarding for an artist to work on a campaign for a world-class product.”
24 year old Jourdan Dunn is a fast-rising supermodel star, having just graced the catwalk for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
The Spring/Summer 2015 campaign also featured the modeling talents of British musicians George Barnett and George Le Page.
