The typically grungy Twilight star is no stranger to the wonderfully glamorous world of Chanel, having graced the front row at several shows and wearing Chanel down several red carpets. Now Kristen Stewart will be starring in a new handbag campaign for the iconic luxury label, alongside Vanessa Paradis and Alice Dellal. The three are Chanel favourites and were handpicked by legend Karl Lagerfeld himself.
The Spring-Summer 2015 campaign will see Chanel honouring two of its most iconic handbags, the 11.12 and the Boy Chanel, as well as revealing Mr Lagerfeld’s latest handbag creation, the Girl. The trio of fashion-forward stars will each be representing one of the designer bags – Stewart takes on the classic 11.12, Paradis becomes the face of the newly launched Girl handbag, and Dellal continues with the Boy Chanel.
Each Chanel girl has a strong history with the label, and they are all well-established in their own careers. Chanel made Kristen Stewart the star of their 2014 campaign for the Métiers d’Art Paris-Dallas collection. In 2012 Alice Dellal starred in a mini-film shot by Lagerfeld as part of the campaign for the Boy Chanel handbag collection. Vanessa Paradis held a private concert in 2014 with the label, and has also been made the face of other Chanel creations.
Chanel is planning to launch the campaign this April.
