Sandro Giordano captures the most improbable falls for his collection IN EXTREMIS – Bodies With No Regrets. He could have done something great with Madonna’s case at the Brits Awards.
There is a man is laying on the floor, wearing leather underwear, surrounded by cocaine lines, spirit bottles, a dildo and fresh veggies. There is also a woman totally up side down on a cinema chair, still grabbing a handful of popcorns. And these are only two examples of the random situations created by Italian photographer Sandro Giordano.
The idea is quite fun: bodies laying on the ground in an implausible context. The pictures look very joyful at first sight, however Sandro Giordano’s work has a meaning. If you look closely at his IN EXTREMIS collection, you will notice that all models carry something in their hands, which is why they fell so lamentably. They would rather fall on the ground than lose a bag of cocaine, a camera, or even groceries. IN EXTREMIS illustrates how much society is attached to material goods. The Italian photographer managed to convey that message with creative settings, colourful pictures, and fun poses. Result: a cool concept in cool pictures!
