The band’s last album, A Bigger Bang, was released ten years ago in 2005 and the last song that they released (‘Doom and Gloom’) was part of their greatest hits album. In an interview with The Rolling Stones Magazine, Jagger was asked if he would make another solo album and he replied:

I’d love to record a Stones album. If that doesn’t happen, then yes. That’s a truthful answer. I’ve got songs that would be great for the Stones, and I’ve got songs that wouldn’t be perfect for the Stones.”

Jagger has been touring the world since 2012 with The Rolling Stones with the Australian leg ending in December 2014. It seems that Jagger is always on tour for, and the band even marked their 50th band anniversary in 2012.

It’s fair to say that not many bands reach this stage – this is why The Stones are so remarkable.

With a hint of new work comes no thoughts of packing up shop for the rockers. “I’m thinking about what the next tour is,” Jagger told reporters recently. “I’m not thinking about retirement. I’m planning… tours.”

Now we finally understand Maroon 5 front-man Adam Levine says when he sings about Jagger moves. We’re talking a man whose a great grandfather and is still touring the world and is belting out his rock’n’roll hits like he doesn’t need a grandpa, neigh, a great grandpa nap.

You go Mick Jagger, five stars out of five for you, Mick Jagger.

The soon to be released Fashion Industry Broadcast’s Vol 17 Masters in Music has all the information on The Rolling Stones.
