Skrillex Teams Up With Vic Mensa and Jahlil Beats For New Track “No Chill”

Skrillex has no chill in his latest collaborative effort with American hip hop artist Vic Mensa and Jahlil Beats. The trio have unveiled hip hop anthem “No Chill,” now available on Apple Music here.

The track was featured live on Zane Lowe’s Beat’s 1, as part of Apple Music’s initiative to rollout original content for listeners. It’s premier follows the releases of M.I.A.’s “Matahdatah Scroll 01 Broader Than a Border” project, Drake’s music video for “Energy,” Eminem’s “Phenomenal, Pharrell’s “Freedom” and many others.

Moore has taken a turn from his EDM beginnings to releasing hip hop/pop produced sounds, like his recent collaboration with Jack U and the “f***ing virtuoso” Justin Bieber. His ‘crossing over’ to the pop scene has caused some controversy with die hard fans of his electronic-dance vibes in 2010 EP Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites and his 2011 follow up.

However, Mensa’s melodic ‘hallelujah’ chorus and humble lyricism (dropping a casual phone call with Kanye West) over trapped out beats, a catchy bass hook and Moore’s crisp production makes the track a perfect stellar hip hop anthem to turn up to this weekend.
