The National Have Begun Working On Their New Album

The Dessner brothers have been kept busy with countless gigs and the announcement for Matt Berninger’s new band EL VY.

However as it turns out, Berninger has also been working on a new project for The National.

The National will be releasing their follow up from 2013’s Trouble Will Find Me album sooner than expected, frontman Berninger told NME. The album is set to be their seventh studio album.

“We did a camp out retreat in New York a couple of months ago, and we’re having another one in LA in a few weeks. We have 30 sketches of songs so far,” Berninger said.

EL VY will be releasing their debut Return to the Moon later this year, and have shared the song “Return To The Moon (Political Song For Did Bloome To Sing, With Crescendo)” from the album tracklist. The new album will be supported by several tours, with stops to the UK in December.
