Radiohead drummer Phil Selway recently said the band would be returning to the studio and hope to finish the album before the end of the year.
He also hinted that for the first time, the band would collaborate with outsiders.
This seems to have been confirmed by composer and collaborator Robert Ziegler, who tweeted photos of the band working with a string orchestra in the studio.
Thom York, Jonny Greenwood, Ed O’Brien and Nigel Godrich all appear in the photos.
Earlier this year, Greenwood said in a Dutch music website 3voor12 that the album may feature their 1996 track “Lift.” The follow-up to 2011’s The King of Limbs is set to be their ninth studio album.
