New TV Series Limitless Premieres With a Bang

Based on the 2011 award winning movie Limitless starring Bradley Cooper, the CBS TV series derived from the movie continues where it left off, with its debut pilot episode raking in over 9.8 million viewers.

Limitless is based off the 2001 novel The Dark Fields by Alan Glynn, and is a drama/thriller that is both a movie and now a TV series.

The plot follows Brian Finch (played by Jake McDorman) who discovers the brain enhancing drug NZT-48- which allows users to access the otherwise unused energy of their brain, providing them with heightened creative and intellectual powers whilst enabling them to recall everything they have ever read, seen or heard.

The main character Brian Finch uses his newfound capabilities to aid the FBI in solving complex cases. Among the cast is Dexter’s Jennifer Carpenter who plays FBI agent Rebecca Harris and Bradley Cooper who plays the original Eddie Morra.

Cooper not only delves into his old role but has taken on the role of executive producer in the drama series which runs for 7 episodes.

“We had talked about it a lot actually once the movie had been successful — that just there seems like such a potential for more story. You know there’s no end to what you could explore, honestly. There’s room for it to go anywhere.” Cooper said.
