The last stop for Fashion Month has come and gone with Paris Fashion Week. The best looks weren’t necessarily found on the runway, with a number of inspiring looks being found in the sea of fashion show guests.
Daring fashion show goers venture out of the typical street style genre in both bold and subtle ways. With street style images pouring in across both the blogosphere and major fashion news broadcasts, Gucci stood out as the favourite among the street style set. From furry coats to statement jewellery, we are highlighting the top eye-catching trends on the streets of this Fashion Month.
1. Shearling-Lined Leather Jackets
The most prominent piece among the best street style looks, was a shearling-lined leather jacket. Not only the ideal way to warm up a lightweight dress, but looks great with just about anything. Alessandria Ambrosio looked so comfortable wearing a black leather biker jacket from Acne, lined with a soft cream shearling.
2. Well-Fitted Hoodies
Vetements brought the hoodie back into high fashion, with their classically rebellious Autumn/Winter collection. The fashion world has taken to layering them underneath just about everything, from bomber jackets to fur coats and everything in between.
3. Supersized Coats
The bigger the better, when it comes to supersized coats this season. Puffer Jackets in Paris were particularly prominent. Forget about fit with oversized shapes and sloping shoulders, for a “borrowed-from-the-boys” attitude. Over-sized outerwear seemed to rule the fashion week both on and off the runway.
4. Earrings With Wow
Earrings were a fashionable masterpiece, making a statement both on and off the runway. It wasn’t surprising to see the shoulder-grazing earrings on the streets, both on men and women.
5. Leopard Print
The streets of Paris proved that leopard print can look utterly luxurious, with the proper styling and attitude. Fashion Week opted for printed bombers to faux fur coats and accessories, including handbags.
