While we were all waiting around for his long awaited second album to drop, we have been surprised with some very exciting news – Frank Ocean is now one of the fresh faces of Calvin Klein’s Fall 2016 campaign.
We have been waiting for the artist to drop one of the demanded albums of the year, Boys Don’t Cry, which has been reported to be released at some point this July… and still waiting. This had us all distracted, as we were waiting for our ears to be blessed, Calvin Klein’s latest campaign had our eyes blessed instead!
The faces of this campaign were revealed through the fashion brand’s snapchat, these artist included not only the singer, songwriter, and magazine editor Frank Ocean, but also Young Thug, Kate Moss, and Grace Coddington and other well-known icons.
Around 50 clips were dropped on the official website which spotlighted everyone who was in the campaign. The films by Tyrone Lebon featured actors, musicians, cultural icons, athletes, fashion idols, social media heavyweights, artists, and professional and street cast models. This created a dynamic and artful mix of visuals.
Focusing on Ocean’s feature – The short film hosts a 70’s vibe, featuring a lot of pastel accents. He is pictured in a lounge room, throwing a ball at the wall – nothing too special, but he still looks attractive doing it.
We were all waiting for Ocean to resurface, but little did we know it would be in this form – we are not complaining.
