On a trip back to Nepal, with TOMS team, Gurung searched for inspiration that would capture Nepalese culture onto his designs. From Nepal With Love include TOMS classic Alpargatas, sneakers and fur lined boots, in black, red and white prints.

”The collection is inspired by my home country of Nepal and its colours, textures and wonderful stories.”
For each pair sold from this collection, a pair of shoes will be given to a child in need as part of TOMS concept One for One. A portion of each sale will also be donated to Gurung’s, Shikshya Foundation Nepal, which helps rebuild poor communities, provide education and raise awareness for aid relief in Nepal, after the earthquake in 2015.
Gurung was born in Singapore and raised in Nepal, before moving to New York. After working for Cynthia Rowley and Bill Blass for numerous years, Gurung launched his eponymous label in 2009. Gurung’s collaboration with TOMS seeks to raise awareness of the effects of the 2015 earthquake. Gurung felt it was the right time to collaborate with ethical shoe label TOMS.
”TOMS was a brand we had always hoped we could work with in some capacity. I have always respected what they have done and the message behind the brand really resonates with me”
”What excites me about collaborating with TOMS is our shared belief in inspiring others and giving back. We’re coming together to make a difference in the world by what we do.”
Together Gurung and TOMS shoe founder, Blake Mycoskie, are able to raise and spread more awareness to different audiences all over the world. Here’s to ethical buying and jumping on board with fashion collaborations such as From Nepal With Love.
