American Horror Story 6 Rocks The Horror and Fashion World

There are two ways to get shocked; by horror or by beauty, and it happens one way or the other most of the time. So when both “brushes” are used to paint at the same time, what sort of pictures shall we expect to see? The answer hasn’t been too hard to interpret since the first season of American Horror Story was thrown on the air.

American Horror Story Season 6 Teasers 2

You see a giant mansion full of ghosts belonging to different periods in Season One; a dark asylum with mutants, demons and even a Nazi scientist in Season Two; in Season Three a war and an alliance between witches and voodoos; in Season Four an open world to a freak circus that attracts killers; and an “darker than ever” hotel in Season Five.

The point of going through the “epicentre” of all previous five seasons is not only to explore how far human imagination could go in terms of coming up with any surprises that would continue to rock the brains with limited knowledge of an unknown world of darkness, but also to take a guess at the fashion trends in Season Six.

Based on all the subtle trailers released to tease the horror fans who have been sitting and waiting like a cat on hot bricks, lots of grapevine news has been trying to hit the core of what American Horror Story Season Six will be about, and the most trust-worthy, or should we say, the most logical guess is that this season will be about the antichrist or with children and operatic themes. Any of the ideas from previous trailers, such as a wind chime made of teeth, a deadly client abduction, a blue creepy crawly or a demonic shadow, etc. could be the bull’s-eye, or completely unfounded.

“Every year, we’ve basically laid out the themes, the new genre that Ryan’s going to be approaching, and we just thought [this year] it’d be really fun to keep it a mystery.” – FX CEO John Landgraf

Too many efforts have been put into guessing the story, but how about the fashion inspiration in Season Six? Will it be centred around the fashion industry? Will it be as retro as the first? As nosocomial as the second? As black and witchy as the third? As kinky and colourful as the forth, or as glamour and luxury as the fifth? Will it still include any fashion icons like Lady Gaga or Jessica Lange? The only certainty is that they don’t tend to give up any chance to be creative, and that’s why Will Drake all of a sudden comes into the public spotlight to help Liz maintain his fashion line.
