In this series we examine and analyse these shows to find out what made them so special for contemporary audiences. In order to whet the appetite for the full-length volume we have created cutting edge “Web-Doco’s” on each show.

Join us as we count down to Cool TV Vol. 80 Golden Age.

Today we look at Breaking Bad.

Effectively creating the wackiest mid-life crisis ever, creator Vince Gilligan would take a seemingly passive high school chemistry teacher (and part-time car washer), give him cancer, and turn him into one of the most intelligent, dangerous and unpredictable drug lords ever seen on screen. All the while maintaining, crushingly, that this man started the series as a hero, hailed and showered with praise by the masses who tuned in every week.

Enjoy!
