Dan Single, who was working in Paris with his wife Australian model Bambi Northwood-Blythe had fallen from a third-floor hotel balcony in Paris shattering every bone from the bottom of his spine to his heels earlier in this month. His family had rushed to his side, fearing a turn for the worse.
Fortunately there have been no reports of brain damage however the fashion founder is in an induced coma and it is reported that he will not be able to walk for a very long time as he recovers in an intensive care unit in a Paris Hospital. Recent reports suggest that he has now been moved out of intensive care but will remain in an induced coma.
Family are friends are said to be making plans to be by Singles bedside as his former partner and the mother of his only child, fashion designer Pip Edwards told The Sunday Telegraph that “the family’ are set to fly in to Paris in a series of staggered visits as he recuperates”. Wife, Bambi Northwood-Blythe reportedly missed her sister’s wedding to remain by her husband’s side.
At this stage there are no reports on how Mr Single fell from the balcony.
We’re sending our well wishes and support to Dan and his family.
