Jacqui Siu – Keep On Giving
The debut E.P. Danger from New Zealander Jacqui Siu is laced dreamy pop synth sounds. The E.P. is a hypnotising offering from Siu, it can perfectly accompany you through slow late nights next to artists like Ta-ku. The song also titled ‘Keep On Giving’ is the final song on the E.P. and is a swaying track mourning for a love in its final days.
Shlohmo – Until Tomorrow (Groundislava feat. Jake Weary Remix)
Shlohmo has recently teased that he is currently working on a new album to follow up his 2016 release Fine, Thanks. Last week he shared this remix of the Groundislava featuring Jake Weary track from his most recent album Endless Voyage. The remix takes on a darker tone than the original, distorting the vocals to create a deeper, more intense sound. If you loved the Stranger Things soundtrack then you should definitely give this passionate, uplifting track a listen.
The Smith Street Band – Song For You
Melbourne garage rock darlings The Smith Street Band have released their highly anticipated new album More Scared Of You Than You Are Of Me. The album displays the classic style that fans have come to love from The Smith Street Band featuring introspective analysis of their relationships with love, friends, fans, music and mental health. The Smith Street Band combine a poetic sincerity in their lyrics with a roughness in their sound giving them a relatability with anyone who listens to their music.

Alexandra Savior – Shades
In 2012 Courtney Love saw Alexandra Savior’s rendition of Angus and Julia Stone’s hit son ‘Big Jet Plane’ on Youtube and proclaimed that Savior would see great success in her music career. Five years later, Savior has released her debut album Belladonna of Sadness and her sultry, smokey vocals are completely mesmerising. Savior has a cool, commanding presence in the belting, attitude fuelled track ‘Shades.’
Mac De Marco – On The Level
Mac De Marco has released the third single from his forthcoming album This Old Dog, expected to be released in less than a month on May 5th. “On The Level” is an anxious reflection on Macs relationship with masculinity. The hook is accompanied by a bright synth that surrounds Macs voice, its intermittence leaving a clear emptiness to the echoing sounds of the verses. Mac De Marco’s latest offering is good news for fans as they anxiously await the new album but is worth a listen on its own just to enter Mac’s dream world for just a couple of minutes.
