FIB Album of the Week: Through the Distortion by Kilter

The long awaited debut album by Kilter’s dropped over the weekend, and it’s everything we hoped it would be!

Sydney based artist, Kilter, originally Ned East, 25, has been gaining momentum since his EP For Winter back in 2013, and subsequent profile with Redbull. Since then, tracks like Fool for You and They Don’t Know Us, have been making waves in the electronic music genre across the globe.

As one of the top 20 Australian electronic artists, the long-awaited full-length album, Through the Distortion, has been hyped by fans since being announced earlier this year, and it is everything you could possibly want it to be.

With more experimentalist tracks, like Bandai combined with calming cafe vibes, like Running Away, this album makes for the perfect easy listening winter playlist.

The electronic tracks, despite some erring on the side of EDM, have a distinctive elevator feel; but the kind of elevator you don’t mind being in. The album has gained widespread global support since its release last Friday and is set to fill every good bar and nightclub by this weekend.

Find Through the Distortion on iTunes and Spotify or check him out live.
