At the height of the glam rock movement, Bolan and his band T Rex outsold Jimi Hendrix and The Who. Legions of dedicated fans who were attracted to Bolan due to his good-looks, enigmatic presence and songwriting skills were left devasted with his tragic death at 29 in a car accident.
