Sticky Fingers Are Back To Caress Our Collective Souls

After a year long hiatus, they’re back. You heard me, ‘Sticky Fingers’ are back! The boys have resurfaced in a glorious Instagram post, with Sti-Fi frontman Dylan Frost back out of rehabilitation and pictured alongside his fellow band members.

Look who’s back.

The boys announced today via Instagram that they are indeed back, and music fans around the world are love reacting all over the place. Early last year the announcement of their hiatus came as not much of a surprise to most: after a series of off-stage incidents culminating in a very genuine, public apology by Frost, the band decided to take a brief stint away from the rock n’ roll scene.

I don’t know about you, but this has certainly countered my looming Monday blues. After releasing their last album in October 2016, surely this return means we’ll be seeing some new music on the horizon – partly confirmed by bandmember Freddy Crabs’ own Insta-contribution to the hype:

Personally, I’m hoping for a reunion tour – namely a gig at their local haunt, the Enmore Theatre. Boy, oh boy that would be a goose-bump ridden affair!

In the meantime, there are rumours stirring that the Sydney-based band are the ‘Secret Headliner’ on the upcoming ‘Bad Friday’ line up. The festival boasts an already stellar roll call, featuring the likes of The Belligerents, Boo Seeka and Mezco. I dare say, that if Sticky Fingers make their return this Friday, the Marrickville-hosted event may be one of the best of the year.

To celebrate the homecoming of everyones favourite rowdy bunch, here is an incredible acoustic take on their tune ‘One By One’, my personal favourite off their most recent album.

Now go on boys, start picking up the pieces ‘One by One’ and bring back that ‘Bootleg Rascal’ we know and love you for!
