Bodhi is in this top 5 list because it’s a classic and a MUST try. Their cuisine style has ties with the Cantonese traditional of Yum Cha as well as other Chinese offerings. The best part is they have fully vegan dumplings. Yes you heard it! DUMPLINGS! There’s also a complex selection of faux meat dishes for the ex-carnivores, and boutique wines to pair with them. Lentils as Anything

The reason why “Lentils” made it to our list is not only because of their delicious vegan and vegetarian food but also because of their social cause. Lentils as Anything is a chain of restaurants which does not impose a charge on food; they work with something called contribution boxes in which the clients can leave as much or as little as they think. The creator of this chain is Shanaka Fernando who originated from Sri Lanka and became Australian Man of the Year back in 2007. The food on offer is a wide variety of Asian, which includes recipes from China, Thailand and India. One of their most renown venues is at 391 King Street, Newtown. For more info click here!
