DMA’S ‘Break Me’ With Forthcoming Record Trailer

Whirlwind garage pop band, DMA’S sit comfortably perched on the cusp of their sophomore album release this Friday. For Now is the feature album on Triple J all this week, and has already received huge support from Liam Gallagher – with the pommy rock legend describing it as ‘BIBLICAL’. In celebration, the band have dropped another track and trailer from the forthcoming record…

DMA’s have already released three tracks from their forthcoming second album (‘Dawning’, ‘In the Air’ and titular track ‘For Now’), with all three met with praise. True to their characteristic sound, the tracks have a clear 90’s influence, and draw strongly from 80’s Brit-pop bands like Oasis (no wonder Liam likes them!), Blur, Pulp or Supergrass. We also drew an unexpected connection to 90’s rock band James, who were in turn deeply influenced by The Smiths and Dutch-band Kane.

The band have teased ANOTHER track from the record, sharing the following trailer from their Facebook last Thursday. The trailer features behind-the-scenes footage from the making of For Now, set to a wall of Tommy O’Dell’s pleading vocals and Matt Mason’s almost manic guitar riff.

The DMA’s EU tour will start in Nottingham on the same day of their album release (27th of April) and extend across the UK, Amsterdam, Belgium, Germany, and France. The tour will be interrupted by an Australian leg – playing 4 sold out shows over eight days. If you are from Melbourne and you didn’t get your ticket yet, well… we are sorry to say that you are too late. Thankfully their Sydney show is still on sale, but you better get in quick! You can get your tickets here.
