All the Highlights of R.Kelly’s Garbage Life

There seems to be about a billion accusations being thrown at R.Kelly right now, so I’m gonna put them all in one place for you so you can know exactly what’s going on, and don’t forget what has already gone on in this garbage human’s life.

Early Sexual Abuse

In R.Kelly’s 2013 book Soulacoasterhe mentions a number of premature sexual experiences, including a trusted family friend asking him to masturbate for money, and being awoken to find a woman playing with him.

I tried to push her away, but she wouldn’t stop until she was finished. When she was, she said, “You better not say shit to no one or else you gonna get a terrible whupping.”

In a 2016 article for GQ Kelly discusses the event further, while he never mentions the woman by name, he does give this telling revelation:

I looked at it as if there was a sort of like, I don’t know, a generational curse, so to speak, going down through the family. Not just started with her doing that to me.”

Marriage to Aaliyah

It’s 1994, and R.Kelly is 27. He’s a rising star and his manager, Barry Hankerson, asks Kelly to produce for his 15-year-old niece, Aaliyah. Kelly obliges. Rumors of a relationship between Kelly and Aaliyah surface and soon after, a falsified Cook County marriage certificate emerges which says Aaliyah is 18. The marriage is annulled soon after by her parents.

Alleged Group Sex With Minors

Then 1996 hits and R.Kelly is hit with a suit alleging that when he was 24 and his accuser, Tiffany Hawkins, was 15 he “engaged in inappropriate sexual contact with (her), including but not limited to engaging in group sexual intercourse with (her) and other minors.” Kelly then immediately counter-sues her for spreading “false accusations” that he was the father of her child, and the suit is settled for $250,000 in 1998.

Two Video Tapes

Two anonymous video tapes are sent to the Sun Times which show a man who looks very much like R.Kelly having sex with a very young girl, in a place that looked very much like the basement of the house where R.Kelly lived at the time. The second video is the one referenced in Macklemore’s thrift shop:

“Probably should’ve washed this, smells like R. Kelly sheets
(Pissssss…) But shit, it was 99 cents!”

Because, you guessed it, it shows the man pissing in the girls mouth. The video is 26 and-a-half minutes long and features the man imploring the girl to call him “Daddy” as he coaxes her through various sexual acts. The editors turn the videotape over to the Chicago police, and the case goes to court. The police identified the girl in the tape as the 14-year-old daughter of a guitarist on several of Kelly’s albums. Kelly was acquitted at trial six years later, not because they failed to prove it was him in the tapes, but because the identified girl and her family refused to cooperate, so they could not confirm it was her. Kelly likes to refer to this as being “proved innocent” even though innocence is never proved at court, you can only ever be acquitted.

Sexual Abuse and False Imprisonment

The latest is that 19-year-old Faith Rodgers has come forward to accuse R.Kelly of sexual battery, and for knowingly transmitting a sexual disease. R.Kelly was 50 at the time of the alleged abuse. His publicist, lawyer and assistant all quit after this new allegation came to light, so sorry old boy, looks like you’re out on your own. Spotify and Apple music have also recently pulled his music from their catalogues. Oh, and he failed to show up to a court case that he instigated, so the judge threw it out of court.

There is literally a billion more things I could mention that have happened in R.Kelly’s life, but I don’t have time. This dudes life is insane. If you wanna read up some more on it all you can go herehere or here
