Dean Lewis, Australian singer and songwriter, debuted #1 in the ARIA album chart with his new album A Place We Knew.
The album was released on March 22, 2019, with Be Alright as the lead single. This song made international headlines, reaching #1 on HOT AC Radio and going Platinum in the USA. The single, together with 7 Minutes, reached #1 on the TMN Hottest 100 Airplay Chart and was performed on major TV shows, such as The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
Waves, Be Alright, 7 Minutes and Stay Awake are just some of the singles from A Place We Knew that allowed this album to be debuted #18 on the Billboard Top 200 in the USA and #1 iTunes Singer/Songwriter Album Charts.

Dean Lewis was named Apple’s Global Next Up Artist and is one of the world’s most followed playlists on Spotify. Be Alright reached 785 million streams, followed up by 7 minutes, with over 50 million streams.
A Place We Knew earned its place in international charts, debuting among the Top 10 in New Zealand (#7), Top 20 in Switzerland (#11), Canada (#15) and Ireland (#20), Top 20 in Norway (#25), Belgium (#30), Netherlands (#21) and Top 40 in Germany (#32), Sweden (#37) and in the UK (#37).
At the moment, Lewis is nominated for the 2019 APRA Music Awards and for Pop Work of the Year for Be Alright.
