It’s no secret that Harry Styles likes to get a bit funky with his *ahem* style. For years, fans have applauded his unconventional take on fashion and celebrated the fact that the guy wears what he wants, when he wants. We love an outside-of-the-box thinker.
Gucci has just released its pre-fall collection, featuring Gucci Tailoring campaign ambassador Styles. Let’s just say, it’s almost like the collection was made with him in mind (almost – some of the looks are admittedly a bit whack). It’s got hair scarves, bright two-piece suits, some stripes and a pair of killer white boots… what more could you want?
The looks would probably seem like too much on their own, but Gucci has gone ahead and paired the shoot with the most whimsical (and cluttered) background you could imagine. Animals, gardens and statues galore – there’s so much to look at.
Creative Director Alessandro Michele is offering a new vision to traditionally tailored menswear. He’s offering bright, flamboyant, colour-clashing alternatives to a world that has just been accepting monochromatic blah for years. Even the neutral grey two-piece is styled in an unconventional way – with a pair of white slides, some gorgeous bags and a bunch of jewels around Styles’ neck. It’s fab in a way we wouldn’t usually expect.
