The queen of indie flicks, Chloë Sevigny has teamed up with Opening Ceremony to give us a denim capsule collection that we didn’t know we needed.
Shot and styled by Haley Wollens, the editorial takes inspiration from Japanese street style magazine FRUiTS.
Each image is as quirky as it gets, with Sevigny sporting her own pieces whilst rocking Sailor Moon style wigs and roaming the streets of Padua, Italy.
The entire capsule is based on her love for vintage silhouettes and re-imagined denim; which ultimately reflects her distinct style.
It features rah-rah skirts, flared jeans, ruffled mini dresses, wide-leg jeans, and suspender trousers; along with cropped jackets, polo tops and a graphic tee with a photo of young Sevigny.
In addition, the entire collection has been washed using an eco-conscious method that will produce zero harmful drain water.
Being Sevigny’s seventh collaboration with the American fashion house, she found this project to be a natural progression for her.
“Each time I have worked on a collection, it is always pieces that I want to wear personally and think my friends would look great in. Also, the desire to create pieces that can work on all shapes and sizes. This collaboration is a result of that.”
