Melbourne Rock Outfit Kingswood Carry Queens Of The Stone Age Charm In ‘Bittersweet’ Coinciding With Their Forthcoming Third Album ‘Juveniles’

Melbourne rockers Kingswood are letting the rock guillotine loose with their new single ‘Bittersweet’ from their expecting third album Juveniles. 

Kingswood have big plans for 2020, announcing a big 20 date national tour that will coincide with their long awaited third album Juveniles. The album is due out on March 13th.

Kingswood have delivered before in the past with their first two albums reaching the top ten in the Australian ARIA Albums Chart. Kingswood’s debut Microscopic Wars (2014) was number six on the ARIA Album Chart and was nominated for Best Rock Album of 2014. Their track ‘Golden’ of the band’s second album After Hours, Close to Dawn (2017) was ARIA certified gold.

Keeping it simple in ‘Bittersweet’ – black attire and guitar slinging rock

For a band who have performed with rock titans such as AC/DC and Aerosmith, Kingswood has something up their arsenal that is waiting to be unleashed in Juveniles. The band have already teased a bit of the forthcoming album with tracks ‘Say You Remember’ and the addictive earworm ‘You Make It So Easy’ in 2019. The two tracks hint a flavoursome mesh of Powderfinger and Queens of the Stone Age and their third single ‘Bittersweet’ raises the bar.

‘Bittersweet’ lets loose all the sweet rock licks with a charming Josh Homme likeness in vocalist/lead guitarist Alex Laska. The ingredients of a good rock track are all there: loud rhythms, attitude, and slurry conversational seductive lyrics that rhyme well with the guitar lines.

“The thing that makes us who we are is the fact that we can do whatever we want, musically. We’re not doing it to be vindictive or to piss people off. We’re [just] not being confined. It’s like we’ve opened Pandora’s Box and have looked in every room; it’s mental,” said Alex Laska – Kingswood.

Juveniles plans to demonstrate how the band’s musicality rooted in rock music has taken them to a whole other level compared to After Hours, Close to Dawn. 

An all out conquest of rock and head banging, Kingswood set to kick off their national tour in Victoria, Geelong in March before travelling through into April, May and June.
