Its been a massive week in the Musk/Grimes home, as expected its been incredibly strange but to some degree just impressive. So let me guide you through all the achievements the couple have made this week!
It’s been an exciting week for Elon Musk, his company achieved a monumental achievement with SpaceX launching the Falcon 9 rocket that pushed out another 60 Starlink satellites to add to the growing constellation and then landing the rocket safe and sound within the compound of the Air Force station. With this launch SpaceX now is the largest private satellite operator in the world with over 240 satellites in orbit.
In even bigger news than a successful rocket launch, is Musk dropped his debut single under the stage name ‘Elon“EDM” Musk’ and I’ve gotta say it rips. Titled ‘Don’t Doubt ur Vibe’ the track pushes a low beat with plenty of high-hat beats and space-esque sounds, which is very Elon. We are repeatedly told not to doubt our vibe while elements run over the top that sounds like it’s been lifted from a hacker scene in a sci-fi thriller film.
The Tech mogul gave us a little more insight into the song when he tweeted saying that he: “wrote the lyrics & performed the vocals!!”. There is a very obvious influence that Grimes left on this one and it isn’t misplaced at all, It’s chill, its dance-y and its completely out of left field, but I’m so down with it.
In January Grimes posted photos of herself nude with a baby bump that had a super-imposed-transparent fetus on her stomach. The photos sparked speculation as to whether or not the producer was pregnant.
Well, this week we had confirmation that the couple do in fact have a bun in the oven. Grimes shared more photos to her Twitter showing off the bump to which Elon Musk replied ‘ X is Y’. We can only assume this has something to do with the baby’s gender. With her track record people did not believe Grimes at first, seeing it as another interpretation of her odd and outer-world brand.
But all was revealed when Grimes posted to Instagram once more starting off her post with “Fake or real?” . The artist says that she was “Woefully ill-prepared” being only a few short weeks away from dropping her new record “Miss Anthropocene”. She went on to apologise to fans that she wasn’t doing enough promotion online as she’s in her “second trimester but starting to hurt everywhere at 25 wksz.”. This will be partner Elon Musks’ seventh child, the first six being from his first marriage to Canadian Author Justine Musk.
So there’s your wrap up of all the weird and quirky things going on in the Musk/Grimes household.
