In support of the release of their long-awaited ’14 Steps To A Better You’ album, Lime Coridale have lined up two sets of performances at Oxford Art Factory and a drive-in show at Sydney’s Raging Waters.
The release of Lime Cordiale’s ’14 Steps To A Better You’ is fast approaching with the brand spanking new album set to be shared this Friday, July 10th. The Sydney pop-rock duo announced their first set of performances at Oxford Art Factory in Sydney with shows selling out within hours of release. Following the success of these intimate shows, Lime Cordiale announced a second Sydney show at a drive-in venue.
The first set of performances are album launch shows to be held at Oxford Art Factory to celebrate the release of Lime Cordiale’s second album. Shows will be held between Monday 6th – Wednesday 15th July with the boys performing two shows per day with an early session at 6:30 pm and a late session at 9 pm. The shows will host 70 people per performance with seating to comply with current social distancing rules.
In an Instagram post, the boys described the small and intimate shows as “a different experience for us all”, whilst also mentioning that with every ticket purchased fans can grab their new album in CD form for just 1 dollar.
Currently, all shows are sold out except the drive-through performances at Sydney’s Raging Waters on 1st of August. You can buy tickets here. The additional drive-in venue was added to the band’s performance schedule due to overwhelming support for the shows at their hometown venue Oxford Art Factory.
Other artists are set to perform at Raging Waters in July including The Veronicas, The Wiggles, Casey Donovan and Kate Ceberano beginning July 17.
The ’14 Steps To A Better You’ album will be released via Chugg Music and London Cowboys which the boys are signed to and follows their debut 2017 album ‘Permanent Vacation’. Have a listen to their previous album below.
The Sydney band have released 8 singles in the leadup to their ’14 Steps To A Better You’ album including ‘Following Fools’, ‘Dirt Cheap’, ’Robbery’, ‘Inappropriate Behaviour’, ‘On Our Own’, ‘Addicted To The Sunshine’, and most recently a single called ‘Screw Loose’ that comes with an accompanying music video.
The music video shows Lime Cordiale (brothers Oli and Louis Leimbach) venturing through a forest stumbling across psychedelic mushrooms and experiencing a hallucinatory dream-like state full of animations and other entrancing visuals.
In a press release, the brothers mentioned how their latest ‘Screw Loose’ song was written one night in Los Angeles. “We were laughing throughout the whole writing process,” said Louis. “The great thing about working with our producer Dave Hammer is that he never says, ‘no’. Most of the time he just wants to take things further.”
“We wanted the video to feel like you’re going a bit insane yourself and these wackos did a great job of that.”
During lockdown the Sydney duo have just completed a new livestream series that aims to discover rising Aussie bands. The band paired up with Mercury Cider to announce the new platform for emerging artists called ‘Mercury Rising’. This new platform brought some of Australia’s most talented up and coming artists to the comfort of your own bedroom.
The stream has been hosted by Lime Cordiale and sees three hand-picked bands Bread Club, ARCHIE and Pyjama Sundayz all perform some of their own originals as well as a cover of a track from Lime Cordial’s upcoming album ’14 Steps To A Better You’.
The band said in a press statement: “This is going to be the first time we get to hear other artists cover songs off our new album ’14 Steps To A Better You’, and we can’t wait to hear how each of the bands interpret the tracks.”
You can also pre-order Lime Cordiale’s new album ’14 Steps To A Better You’ here, out this Friday, July 10th.
