Melbourne artist Running Touch has released a new ambient track ‘Signs’ that ventures away from his typical electronic sound exploring the realm of indie-pop with the help of Northlane, Crooked Colours, and Ocean Grove.
This new single is airy and laid back with strumming guitars that give the song a groovy indie-pop vibe accompanied by soft and soulful vocals. Amongst the track’s atmospheric feel, the single is grounded on a mysterious brooding electronic sound, giving this song a depth that highlights the evolution of Running Touch’s career musically and personally.
Being the founder of Ocean Grove, Running Touch enlisted the help of his band member Sam Bassal, as well as Northlane’s Nic Pettersen and Crooked Colours’ Lampy on this new track. This collaboration brings together some amazing artists “which hopes to create a sense of community amongst like-minded musicians and the fans that underpin their success as musicians and not just artists or band members,” according to a statement.
This single was released with the first installment of the Post Modern Collective Sessions, which is a series of instrument focused videos that are set to be released throughout the release of Running Touch’s forthcoming album “that draw focus to the musicality of his often-production-heavy projects.”
