Fans are rejoicing as a new Hyrule Warriors Switch game is set to release on November 20th. Players will be able to experience new characters and stories with the story being set 100 years before the original title game.
Nintendo has announced the upcoming release of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, a prequel to the beloved The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It will include familiar gameplays like puzzles but similarly to previous Hyrule Warrior games, players will be able to switch between different playable characters. These characters include Zelda and Link as well as the four champions – Urbosa, Mipha, Revali and Daruk.
The story is set 100 years before the tragic Great Calamity and fans can expect an action packed, battle-centred game. Yosuke Hayashi, producer of the prequel, has shared that we can expect “exciting 1 versus 1000 battles” and we can expect an exciting difference from the first Switch title game. He has also assured that the producers of Zelda and Hyrule Warriors have worked closely together and many are anticipating a high quality game.
More details about the prequel will be released on September 26th. The game is set to release on November 20th and is currently available for digital pre-order on the Nintendo Switch eShop where fans will also receive a free weapon: the Lucky Ladle. It is a great year for Nintendo and Zelda fans alike as Breath of the Wild 2 is still currently in the works.
